WALKING SCORER SHIFT: Wednesday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 26th (2 shifts available per day)
Responsibilities:
Record the scores and statistics of play on a Cellular Device during competitive rounds
Requirements:
Golf knowledge and ability to walk 18 holes
Be comfortable with a hand-held tech device
Must attend the tournament training class or make arrangements to be trained by the Walking Scorer Chairperson

MARSHAL SHIFT: Wednesday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 26th (Two shifts available per day, 6-hour long shifts)
Responsibilities:
Provide gallery control for the Tournament, keeping spectators behind the lines
Ensure players’ safe and easy access from hole to hole
Signal the gallery for quiet as players address the ball
Fairway ball spotting, measuring drives and signaling to avoid balls from being lost
Great opportunity for groups, golf courses, or friends to be represented on a hole
Requirements:
Ability to stand for a period of time
AMBASSADORS SHIFT: Wednesday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 26th (2 shifts available per day)
Responsibilities:
Assist with greeting guests, admissions and will call
Handing out pairing sheets and provide general information
Requirements:
Ability to stand for several hours and interact with crowds
CORPORATE HOSPITALITY SHIFT: Wednesday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 26th (2 shifts available per day)
Responsibilities:
Be present in Corporate Hospitality venues throughout tournament rounds to ensure clients are receiving a true VIP experience
Act as liaison between corporate clients and tournament staff

Ideal for volunteer who needs to be out of sun or sit

SCORING CENTRAL SHIFT: Wednesday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 26th (2 shifts available per day)
Responsibilities:
Receive and record scores transmitted from on course
Work with Korn Ferry Tour Staff to verify and report scoring
Requirements:
General golf knowledge
Focus for long periods of time
Light walking and standing
Ideal for volunteer who needs to sit and/or be out of sun
TRANSPORTATION SHIFT: Monday, June 20th to Sunday, June 26th (2 shifts available per day)
Responsibilities:
Provide shuttling service for players at various course locations Drive inclement weather evacuation vans
Provide back up to parking shuttles
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT SHIFT: Monday, June 20th to Sunday, June 26th (2 shifts available per day)
Responsibilities:
Uniform distribution prior to the event
Check in volunteers and direct to assigned areas
Maintain volunteer tent
Provide support staffing if needed during tournament

VOLUNTEER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many days/hours are the minimum for volunteer work?
There is no set minimum, however we ask each volunteer to donate at least 12 hours of their time. Volunteers who work 16 or more hours receive a free round of golf at the Falmouth Country Club (subject to conditions).
What does the fee cover?
The volunteer fee goes to benefit The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. All volunteers will receive a golf shirt, hat, breakfast and/or lunch depending on schedule, free tournament access every day, and free parking.
What is the minimum age for volunteers?
The minimum age for volunteers is 13 years of age.
If something comes up and I can no longer volunteer, do I get a refund?
Yes. You will be issued a refund if you cancel before May 25th, 2022. Please email open@shamrockse.com to request a refund.
Can I watch golf when not working?
Yes. Your volunteer credential will serve as your admission pass for the entire week and we encourage you to use it. We do ask that you not wear your uniform when not on duty, so please bring a change of clothes if you plan to spectate before or after your shift.
Where do I park when volunteering?
Please refer to an event map, confirmation e-mail, or ask whomever is directing traffic for volunteer parking locations.
If I purchased tickets and then became a volunteer, can I refund my tickets?
No, all ticket sales are final as proceeds immediately go directly to charity.
Can I request to be scheduled at the same time as family or friends?
We will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling requests. Make sure to list your request in the 'comments' section of your application. Please email open@shamrockse.com if you need to amend any information.
What if I cannot attend the training session?
Please make every effort to attend training. However, if you are unable to attend your committee chair will provide you with the necessary information.
Where will I find the volunteer schedule?
Committee assignments will begin no later than May 25th. We will send you a confirmation email with your committee assignment and chair contact information prior to the tournament.
What should I bring?
You should arrive wearing your volunteer uniform and credential. You will receive information on other allowable items in your volunteer handbook.
Where can I get something to eat/drink?
Food and drink will be in the Bangor Savings Volunteer Village, located next to the clubhouse. Please refer to your confirmation email or an event map for the precise location of Bangor Savings Volunteer Village.
When will I get my uniform?
You will receive your uniform at the volunteer training. If you are unable to attend regular volunteer training, you will be contacted to arrange an alternate training day.
Can I purchase extra uniform items?
Yes, you may purchase an additional shirt at the time of registration. When choosing your uniform there will be an optional section to purchase 1-4 extra shirts.
What if they don’t fit?
If you find you need a different uniform size at the time of distribution, you may visit the uniform table in the Bangor Savings Volunteer Village to ask for an exchange of sizes. However, please note that we cannot guarantee your new requested size will be available. To help ensure the proper sizing is ordered for you, please consult the size guide provided on your registration. You may also visit the uniform table in the Bangor Savings Volunteer Village during the tournament week. What if it rains?
The event will go on rain or shine and we will need your help. Make sure to report to your committees check-in location 15-20 minutes before your shift. Any weather delays or cancellations will be communicated directly to you by your committee chair.
